Nvidia Mcp73 Lan Controller Configuration
Nvidia Mcp73 Lan Controller Driver
Biostar has become the first motherboard maker we've seen to distribute details of the boards it plans to offer that are based on Nvidia's upcoming Intel-oriented GeForce 7x50 and nForce 6x0i chipset combo - aka 'MCP73'.
The board maker has three micro-ATX products in the pipeline, based on each of the three new nForce parts. At the bottom of the list is the GF7050V-M7. Built from the GeForce 7050 and nForce 610i, it supports a 1066MHz frontside bus, overclockable to 1333MHz. It has a single 800MHz DDR 2 memory slot, support for four 3Gbps Serial ATA devices, a single parallel ATA port, eight USB ports and 10/100Mbps Ethernet.
The GeForce 7050 and nForce 620i-based TF7050-M7 ups the base FSB to 1333MHz, adds two more USB ports and upgrades the Ethernet controller to Gigabit. Other specs match those of the lesser board.
At the top of the range, the TF7150U-M7 incorporates the GeForce 7150 and the nForce 630i, and uses a separate Gigabit Ethernet controller instead of the chipset's own.
Pictures of the board confirm the presence of an HDMI port, a feature the MCP73 chipsets are believed to support natively.
The way Biostar's mixed and matched the GeForce and nForce components matches that suggested by motherboard industry moles back in August as the MCP73V, MCP73S and MCP73U. They're configurations we expect most if not all board makers who offer MCP73 products to offer.
Nvidia is set to launch the MCP73 series on 25 September.
